Sound Level Meter

A sound level meter (SLM) is a handheld, portable instrument designed to measure sound pressure levels (SPL) in decibels ( ). It captures, evaluates, and displays noise levels, commonly used for occupational health, environmental noise assessment, and acoustic analysis. SLMs consist of a microphone for detecting air pressure variations, electronic circuitry for processing signals, and a display screen.
